Frankly, I found the article to be abrasive, sarcastic, opinionated and insensitive to the feelings for motorsports fans; but then I am an avid NASCAR and motorsports fan. Even here in San Diego, our "top" sports reporter, Ted Lietner (who is very negative regarding motorsports), reported the story with feeling and compassion.
