As much as I would have liked to claim GS FTD, I'm glad Joe showed what the Audi
could do with his rerun (he beat me by .020 seconds). Also note that Dave
Brengle was only 6 tenths or so back with an undeveloped Ford Probe on full
tread Kumhos. The Saturday course clearly favored the Type R with many straights
including a tight first gear turn followed by a long uphill straight. On
Saturday I only downshifted to first once, while on Sunday I had to downshift to
first four times including one third to first downshift.

BTW, the San Diego crew did an excellent job!
