I kicked my own MR2 Butt in a 1.6 Miata. 8) I think the MR2 rewards a good driver more and that the Miata can be more forgiving. So...the answer depends on how good you are at controlling the car and making sure that the MR2 is set up well. Out of the box, the 91/92 car is very interesting to try to drive at the limit. I think it would be easier for a new driver to drive the Miata nearer the limit. Want to see a spin-fest?
