We have to book slots in advance to try to plan around the wait. This way we
should always have a car coming back from the dippers when one is being finished
in our shop. It works for us because we always have something to take down when
they call us. I can understand why someone doing a single restoration wouldn't
want to wait. Also, since bodies take up the entire dipping tank, they get low
priority. They only dip them when things are slow. I have a feeling that since
9/11/2001, a lot of these job shops are very busy with contract work for the
government. More than likely the case with the car we are waiting on.
