The headlights normally draw more than the horn because they are on continuously whereas the horns are usually beeped once or twice. However, I haven't driven at night and I honk every time I go by the car.

Bill- I?ve read that after the starter motor the horns are the largest load. Hence their separate circuit.  My guess is that when the horns shorted, that overloaded the alternator circuit.  Might you have the dummy control unit with built in fuse?  ( I didn?t look to see what model you have)

Jim

A friend is looking at an OEM hardtop for his TR6 - Any idea what these
are going for these days?

I've not seen any for sale recently except for those crappy fiberglass ones
(Parrish? $450  - $700) but

he's not interested in one of those. I understand that condition of the top
will dictate the price but

he's looking for a ballpark figure. Thanks.
