[TR] Sufficient air filter space?

The K&N are a mixture of both, and an oil spray on the filter as well.  I know the stock black air filters with a steel mesh are not that great.  I'd bought those and before installing them I was told to hold them up to a bright light.  I could see several spots of light coming through.  If I can see that, it's big enough for dirt to come through.  I returned them to MOSS and got the K&N.

Good question and one that I think I asked the rep on the phone, because the model I needed and have seen on other Triumphs, the depth or thickness of the filter was less than the one that didn't fit and hit the fender wall.  They work well.
