Great feedback and thank you.  Will look for some talc powder and I also heard about inflate/deflate to make sure there is no creases.  I’m learning.  In all my years with Triumphs, I haven’t had a set of wires.

Some baby powder is corn starch, some is talc.  Probably doesn't matter to the baby but I only use talc when mounting tubes.

 

Also important (if the shop is unfamiliar with the process) is to inflate the tire/ tube and then deflate (I do it quickly with the valve core out) before inflating the final time.  Less chance of a pinched tube.

 

As an alternative to tubes, it is practical to seal the spokes.   I use 3M5200 and top it with metal tape.
