[Tigers] Tiger oil capacity w/non-stock filter

I have a little different problem. My 260 almost fills to the “full line” on the dipstick with a little more than 4 quarts including the filter. Can’t figure out why it can’t take the full five quarts?

In other words, would you have to increase or decrease the amount of oil you put into the motor if you used a larger or smaller oil filter? I’m a bit embarrassed to say that I’ve never known the answer to this question. Hopefully, someone out there can send me to school.
