No need for that. When I laid up my car in 1985 the system was full with 
petrol, Euro 95 with 5% ethanol. In the first 10 -15 years I started up 
the car regularly. When I dismantled the fuel pump and carburettors a 
few years ago I was amazed that everything was absolutely sparkling 
clean. No residue or corrosion whatsoever.
Even the rubber seals in the carbs and fuel pump were tight but were 
replaced as they were a bit hard and some had minor cracks.
Rubber hoses were history but what can you expect after 30 odd years.
