in 1985 the system was full with petrol, Euro 95 with 5% ethanol.
In the first 10 -15 years I started up the car regularly. When I
dismantled the fuel pump and carburettors a few years ago I was
amazed that everything was absolutely sparkling clean. No residue
or corrosion whatsoever. <br>
Even the rubber seals in the carbs and fuel pump were tight but
were replaced as they were a bit hard and some had minor cracks.<br>
Rubber hoses were history but what can you expect after 30 odd
years.<br>

pump and in so doing, empty the carburettors on my BJ8. Is it
prudent to do so if I'm storing the vehicle for many months or
