[Healeys] Clutch-related noise

Thanks for the input and you may be correct, but as said it is possible
that the noise is nothing new and simply a function of my driving the car
buttoned up. hearing what was not evident earlier.
Since the sound appears to be present even at idle I am going to put the
car up on stands and see if I can pin it down from underneath while it is
running with a stethoscope as Michael Salter suggested.
I don't plan to drive it till it breaks but as I said earlier if it is a
failing bearing--thrust, throwout or input shaft, etc.--it will certainly
make itself more evident as its condition deteriorates.
