After listening to a lecture with accompaning video given by Dr. Hubbard on the 
HANS device.  I purchased one on the spot. 

There are alternatives to the HANS device. 

I chose what was best for me.

Don't be lulled into thinking that your vintage race car is immune to 
deceleration effects. The important point is not how fast you go but, what 
happens to your helmet with a  substantial negative g load.

The neck you save could be your own. 

Choose wisely.
