The number 1 not to miss for MG owners is the Collier Cup for MGs. Second is
the group 1 race for LBC's and other lesser cars, which is generally the most
competitive of the weekend. This year, unfortunately, it will be jammed with
bazillions of perhaps not-so-fast MGs, which may tend to interfere with the
guys (and Girls) getting it on at the front.

Friday evening's downtown bash is also not to be missed. Many of the race
cars come downtown and park for a couple of hours so the thousands of
spectators
can look them over. They then do a couple of commemorative laps over the
original course. Scary!! You should drive it yourself during off hours. Will
give a real appreciation of the big ones that the old boys had!

As far as talking to racers, just wander around and do it! We are all (at
least us LBC'rs) happy to chat. However, if a guy is elbows into an engine
replacement, think twice before you engage him in a two hour conversation. And
your wife will feel right at home as most of us have ours along, and they are
happy to talk to someone who isn't greasy up to the elbows.

Stop by,
Chris Gross #19 Bugeye, white with red stripe
