WD 40 was developed for Vietnam. It stand for Water displacement. Its really good for providing a protective coat on metal in a wet/humid environment. Itâ??s a lousy lubricant and rust remover. its also flammable and toxic to the environment. -----Original Message----- From: Hoyt Duff <hoytduff@gmail.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 24, 2023 10:16 AM To: dave northrup <dave@ranteer.com> Cc: Rye Livingston <ryel@mac.com>; Sujit Roy <triumphstag@gmail.com>; Triumphs <triumphs@autox.team.net> Subject: Re: [TR] KROIL I only use WD40 as a lubricant when cutting aluminum in my lathe.
