List,

To the best of my recollection, there are 3 areas where the Volvo 'J' type
differs from the Triumph 'J' type.

1. The speedometer drive. This includes the internal gear, the speedo gear
itself, and the parts that secure the speedo gear to the case.

2. They usually lack the threaded mouning holes in the bottom of the rear case,
the ones that mount the studs for the TR rear motor mount.

3. The drive flange may not match the TR driveshaft flange.

The parts to make it right usually exceed the value of the Volvo 'J' type, not
to mention that it needs to be disassembled to fit them.
