Hey Brad,
Fred did love the VTR and it was he in fact who made the presentation on John
Macartney's behalf to the board that VTR jump in as one of the early supporters
of John's charity drive across the US and Canada in a Stag.
Rather than VTR, I'd suggest that any profit be donated to an appropriate
charity in Fred's name and the guidance on which charity might best come from
either Ronnie Babbitt or Tom Fansher. This would be a more fitting gesture
since Fred seemed to get involved in just about every club, not to mention the
TRF summer parties, which is where I first met him.
I too will raise a glass of Sprite to Fred tonight.
