Go to www.mouser.com and search on rheostats.  Then select Rheostats and then 
apply a filter on the desired resistance.  ISTR that the fan rheostat was 1.5 
ohm and the dash lamp dimmer used on later models are 3 ohms but I may be off 
by an order of magnitude.  The 12.5 watt rheostats range from $21.

I don't know if it will fit the dash and the connections to the harness will 
have to be worked out.  But Yankee ingenuity will prevail.
