Terry,
It was the other way around; Standard Motor Co built the Ferguson engines. 
You can still get the seal and spring arrangement through M-F (or FT I 
think) but the bearings are not available anyplace, as far as I know. I 
have hunted a bit too. They were made by Hoffman, part #N3179 V2; if you 
can find an equivalent please let me know and I will take half a dozen. I 
think this is why it is so common for people to replace the whole pump, as 
they are not hard to rebuild but quite often do need a bearing.
