Hello everyone.
Several weeks ago, someone wrote the list asking advice about the TR3 water
pump rebuild. I think he was asking if there were components he could get to
rebuild himself, rather than buy the whole pump unit.
I also think someone replied that NAPA had the part for $30 or thereabouts, so
that course of action might be easiest. The query sort of died at that point,
because that made sense.
I did check with NAPA yesterday, and they no longer carry that part. So I
guess I'm back to the original question. It just seems such a waste to buy an
$80 water pump from a catalog when all that really needs to be done is just a
bushing or bearing, a seal, something like that.
Did Massey Ferguson originally make these engines, and would they still carry
the part?
