So I spent a little time yesterday looking online at bearing supply places.
As I mentioned previously, the local auto parts place wanted something like
$36 for a speedi sleeve. . .so I went checking.
I found a place online that you can enter part numbers and it will display
prices on line.

Still more than I expected it would cost .. but substantially cheaper than
Fairfax Autoparts.
So I went on to check out some Timken bearings.
(by the way, you can go to the Timken bearing site
(http://www.timkeninfo.com/ <http://www.timkeninfo.com/> ) and it will give
you bearing numbers for Triumphs back to about 1966 or so.
I was interested in the differential and pinion bearings.
Looks like there is some substantial savings possible compared to Moss List
price.
