as well as solid iron drums do, because of the steel/aluminum interface.
The Alfin process improves the interface a good deal over just butting the
two together, but the transition still causes a bigger barrier than the
improved conduction of the aluminum can make up for.

Perhaps but the biggest thermal interface is fromt he drim surface to the
air and the Datsun drums have fins whereas the stock TR drums are smooth.
