I vote for the 1956 Version of the "Racers" w/Kirk Douglas...roughly
based on the life of Nuvolari, many great race scenes and still
available on VHS from Amazon...you can fast forward past the
'lovey" stuff...Great scene when he gets his F1 driving chance,
while observing a pit stop, they wonder at the speed in which it
is done...4 tires, gas, 4 spark plugs in "less than 30 seconds"
Wonder what Schumacher would think of a 30 second pit stop...<G>
Many great driving scenes from actual footage of F1 races in the mid 50s...
