TR3A front wheel bearing question

Subject: TR3A front wheel bearing question

Background: I took my brake disks off the other night to inspect the
bearings (since re-greasing them was one of the first things I did 4 or 5
years ago when I bought it), The inner bearing on the left side was seized
to the stub axle, just as it was when I first looked years ago and the
grease was all contaminated with dirt. Last time I had to cut the inner
bearing race off the stub axle and I likely will have to do the same thing
this time cause I can't find a pulley puller that's got long enough "arms"
and sharp enough "fingers".

Question: The ideal answer would be to replace the stub axle, as this one
is mildly scored but I'm wondering if there's some other (read cheaper)
option such as a high temp grease to put under the bearing to prevent it
from sealing as tight to the axle or getting a bearing with a slightly
larger (say 1/64th) inner diameter.

Opinions? Advice?

Thanks in advance,

Art McEwen
