Not sure if it is the same one, but a '53 Vanguard has shown up on the

I was having lunch with some coworkers today and
one of them mentioned
that she had a 1953 Standard Vanguard in her
garage. It hasn't been
driven in a few years, since the clutch/brake M/C
(one unit?) started
misbehaving. She had used some NOS rebuild parts,
but apparently the
clutch master cylinder is out of round, and she
can't get the clutch
                     bled.

Her father bought in in England and shipped it
here. It still has the
original British license plates. It was licensed in
Missouri a few
                     years ago.

She says it's a shame it's just sitting, but she
doesn't have time for
it, and it's taking up space in her garage.

If anyone is seriously interested, she might be
able to get some
photos of the car. I may bug her to go and look at
it myself.

If you're interested, send me an email and I'll
pass it on. If you're
not interested, but have an idea of the value of
such a vehicle, in
apparently good condition but unrestored, please
let ME know!

                     Thanks,

                     Larry
