Hi list,
A buddy with a TR6 with overdrive has a problem. Seems the countershaft
bearing has let go and filled the trans with metal flakes. Looks good on
some cars when mixed with the paint, but pretty sickening when coming out
of your gearbox in clumps with that neat smelling gear oil.
Rebuilding the box itself is easy enough....been there more than once, as
has he. The thought of all that flaked metal makes us both cringe and we
agree that it needs to cleaned out. but what is the best procedure. The
question is... what is best the method to clean out the overdrive?
