Since Brian Thomas may be too modest to report on his home event, I'll
throw in a "better late than never." The show was held in a city park near
the shore of Lake Ontario. The weather was uncooperative (read rain) for
most of the show. That failed to stop a good turnout (~100) of British cars
with a large majority of Triumphs. There were 4 Heralds in evidence, the
usual mix of Spits, '3s and '6s. There was also the usual dirth of 4s and
4As. Being in a member of the Commonwealth provides the opportunity to see
some British cars that would otherwise not be seen, like a 1934 Morris
touring car and an immaculate 1950 (?) Ford Prefect along with an enormous
Austin lorry. Of personal interest was the fellow that brought his Alpine
A110. While not a proper British car, as a Rally Guy it was very exciting
to see this milestone. Congrats to the Boot and Bonnet club on a pleasant
day in the park.
