I recently picked up a 59 TR3 that had been in storage for 25 years.  Included
were many parts along with a rusty crank handle.  However there is stll quite
a bit of paint left on it.

The color is black but it's difficult to tell if it was glossy or flat when
original.

I hope that this helps, because I am interested in the answer myself.
