I thought they were kinda cool looking a few years back but
the cost had kept me away
It they gave you 50hp I'd do it

     The Supertrapp muffler attaches to the very end of an otherwise
open exhaust system. Internally it's basically a glasspack. The
adjustable closure allows you to adjust backpressure and noise:
more discs (the "fins" are actually spacer discs) gets you less
backpressure and more noise, where fewer discs get the opposite.
Removing the end cap entirely results in an effectively open
exhaust with a rather unimpressive tone (on the Honda I saw like
that, anyway).
     I almost put Supertrapps on my truck, but ended up deciding
to go with Thrush Magnum glasspacks instead. These have the same
internal construction -- ok, they're not rebuildable, but $14.95
probably does beat $120 ;)
