Hans, I had a similar problem installing my GT6 tranny. With mine it was because the clutch disc was not adequately centered. Yeah, I used one of those wooden centering tools but there was to much slop in it. I ended up centering the disk my eye. After this the tranny slid right in. Worked like a charm, just like a quarter.
