What do you mean carb overflow pipes. There are none, there's the
bits on the float chambers, which suggests the valve is faulty.
Or theirs the crank case system.
I had a problem like that, and I found it was the crank case
breather systems had fallen off. I don't however think it
was complimented by such horrible flooding.
Choke cable stuck.
Way too rich.
A jet stuck, or two.
Ahhh...
Might be the spring that pulls the jet up. This has a habit of
popping off when you don't want it to on my car. You need two
long handled screwdrivers, or a screwdriver and a pair of pliers.
Alternative is to take two BIG elastic bands, and put it over the
top of the carbs, and under the jets, so that they pull up the
jets.
