Malcolm,

Rarely do I see a car that doesn't need new bushings in the steering column.
It isn't hard to do while the column is out and is certainly worth the cost
of the bushings and new column felts when you go to put it back in.  Also,
you should inspect your turn signal switch carefully, if it is on the way
out, now is the time to take care of it as it is a real pain once everything
is back together!
