>1) How does one fil the OD with gear oil? I haven't seen any fill plug on
the OD.

Through the gearbox fill opening -

>2) Do you just fill the tranny with gear oil, and let the oil flow past
the rear bearing into the OD?
**************************************
Yep -

>3) How much gear oil do you use?
**************************************
Till the level of the oil comes just to the bottom of the threads of the
fill plug opening - don't have the exact amount but probably a pint or so
more than the standard box.

>4) How is oil prevented from getting to the rear gears of the OD?
*************************************
It isn't, it's supposed to go there and lubricate just as it would in the
gearbox-

>5) How does oil get into the pump of the OD?
*************************************
The pump will fill, just as it does in your engine, not to worry -
