Pat,
Being a TR-nut who can only drive my car 6-7 months a year because of the
weather, I try reading everything I can during the off-season. I've
subscribed to "Triumph World" since it first came out in April '95.
All-in-all, though, I'm not really satisifed with it.

My main problem is the lack of TR-related articles. Because it covers all
Triumphs, the majority of which were not TRs or likely even sold in North
America, there are lots that I have no interest in. The cars covered in the
latest issue (Oct./Nov. '96) included: a Herald Estate, a TR6 (little real
content), a Stag, a 1930's van, and a Toledo/1300 comparison. To be fair,
they do try to cover at least one TR in each issue, but its still too thin
for me. In general, the quality of the photographs is very good and mostly
in colour.

Few of the articles are ever keepers in the sense that I learned something
important or had even been entertained very much. Also, with the magazine
being from the UK, unfortunately none of the ads (of which there are many)
are of much interest either. Finally, a lot of the writing tends to be all
fairly sophomoric and a little too British for my taste - sort of Mr. Bean
and his queer old car type of stuff.

I will think hard about renewing again - maybe just buy the occasional issue
instead, when there is something of interest, as I do with several other
British car mags. I've hung on for 2 years now hoping that it would improve
but, at the price (C$15 per issue, bimonthly), its not really been worth it
for me so far.
