Chances are all you need is what is commonly referred to as an
anti-rattle kit, which is a steel cup shaped disc and a nylon bushing as
well as the push on/turn slightly retaining cap.
Doesn't sound like a major problem o/d or non o/d.

Thanks for the reply. I looked it over again and I think you are right. I am
missing the entire ball ( I assume it's nylon) and that's why it is loose.
I'll order the anti-rattle kit Monday morning.
Thanks to Andy Mace also for the confirmation of what I should look for.
BTW, it is a non OD xmission.
Just goes to show you can get help on just about anything on the list,
