>How much is the charge for this info., and for what years is it available ??

Karl,

The charge is $40 US. I am not sure the restriction on years, and they don'
t cover all British cars. Mostly Standard, Triumph, Jaguar, Austin, Mini,
etc. I have a friend who owns a 63 Sunbeam Alpine GT that I thought would
enjoy this, but I don't think they keep that info. Someone let me know
otherwise if this is not true. The back of the cerfiticate states which
cars the BMIHT can research.

I simply faxed the car make, model, year, and commission number, along with
my name (owner) - the owner's name is included on the certificate, and my
VISA number. Less than two weeks, and I'm now sizing frames for it!

On another note, a post earlier in reference to red line tires in general
said that they aren't too exciting unless you are interested in concours
competition! IMHO I think those things make a huge difference on the car.
