Sorry if this is a repost, but I never saw it come through on the digest.
(Is the list closed, where only members can post? I may have posted from a
different address)

- What's the best way to seal the paper gasket under the fuel pump? I've
heard RTV or Permatex #2. Currently, it blows oil like crazy. I have to
change the pump, so I'd like to seal the leak once and for all.

- What's the difference between the different types of RTV (the local auto
parts shop carries no fewer than 4 varieties). There's a blue, red,
another blue, and some high-temp-with-copper variety. They also have type
numbers of 500-ish, 650-ish, 770 (or 777) and 800-something, respectively,
and the back panel equates them to different varieties produced by Loctite.
 What gives?

- Any suggestions for tightening up the loose ground connections in my
reverse light's bulb holders? The connection between the tabbed metal ring
that holds the bulb holder into the reflector and the copper/brass tab that
runs down the side of the socket to the bulb shell seems to have loosened
up, resulting in an intermittent ground (I need the lights reliable enough
to get through inspection!). TRF and Moss don't seem to have new bulb
holders. Is there any good way to repair what I've got? I thought about
wrapping a stranded wire around one of the "holddown" tabs, so the wire
would be forced against the reflector housing when the bulb was installed,
and stuffing it down the inside of the socket to make contact with the bulb
shell.

Thanks,
Greg Ames
