Sounds like the voltage regulator isn't working.

My ignition light keeps blowing. I put a new one in and and start
the car, at idle it glows dimly if I rev the engine it glows brighter and
brighter untill it blows. this is not a good thing. I have a 70 spit mk 3
with a generator. Whats going on here?
