Laurs,
        No, not really autonomous. Most control is still from London,
however there is now an independant elected assembly for Wales which
operates below National (British) Government. Personally, I never subscribed
to the view that more politicians means more democracy!
Wales will always be home, but there are far more Triumphs in England (which
is probably why I like it here),
