In my experience, YES, probably. I had an attached garage. Got locked
out of the house. Door from garage into kitchen was a cheap
non-deadbolt lockset like you describe. With garage tools ( a Dremel or
some sort of cut-off wheel) I lopped off the knob and easily bypassed
the lock.
