Of course, they just say to buy a new cable. But I think there is
some information about the types of connectors that might be
useful. If I understand what this tool is, and all you really need
is a metal "straw", why not take a look at the local hardware
store? My local Ace Hardware has a rack of brass tubing in different
sizes. Perhaps one of those would do it.
