FWIW, I've administered electro-shock to one of my 12v Ryobi batteries to
resuscitate it several times now.  Capacity seems somewhat down, but it still
works pretty good.  Found a replacement for $36 at HD, on closeout, but still
haven't switched to it.

But if they both died at once, I'd probably buy a new drill.
