I've been nothing but happy with my Ryobi 12 volt. They don't make my model any
more, I think you have to go to the 14v to get the gearbox, but that's what I'd
buy right now.

Probably depends a bit on what you do with it, I don't generally do projects
that require a lot of battery life and I prefer a lighter weight tool. The 18
volts ones seem awfully heavy.
