Sorry...didn't mean to imply that I was under anything other than the
vehicle.
As for breakage, the cars I work on are such that the load will wedge in
between the framerails if there's a failure.
Best I can do to cover for failure is to build everything to double
spec...the lift is rated 4000#; even my truck engine only weighs about
550-600; you get the idea.
