I have not seen a groove in my rock which covers my drain tile. My
grandfather never had much of a groove in the conrete sidewalk panels he had
mounted at an angle on the dripline.

We don't have termites in Saint Paul.

OK, seriously, I don't have any special stuff around the foundation on my
house, and I have gutters on that. But I have not had any problems with the
shop since I put in the drain tile. I needed that for the ground water that
comes in from the neighbors, so gutters would not help. With the rock and
drain tile in place, the gutters are not needed.
