Its probably illegal, unethical, and downright mean or something, but what
I did was to use 50A dryer outlets in the garage (with appropriate cable
and breakers). Then I just put dryer plugs on all my 220V stuff (just the
welder, compressor, and plasma cutter). As a bonus, you can then make a
single 220V extention cord that'll work with everything.
