Hmmm...   I like the contaminated comment...

I recently did a cross country and back trip in my 4.0L Ranger 4x4 (to
pick up my daughter from college in Wyoming).

I consistently got 17 miles per gallon, except the one tank of "enhanced"
fuel I put in the tank - it cost less for higher octane so I thought I'd
give it a try.  That tank got 11 miles per gallon...  8-(
