I think you are right; it has to do with DEATH, avoiding it. Compressors
don't normally clean the air. In fact some allow oil vapors to get into
the air. I suspect a breathing air compressor has to filter the air very
well. BTW, have you ever sniffed the air coming out of a vacuum cleaner?

Aren't they basically  a Vacuum Cleaner set up on 'blow' ?
 This is one of those things that seems so simple that I figured people
would be doing it big time  but since  I've never heard of anyone who
