You used to be able to buy a sample of Sonex foam directly from Sonex for a
few bucks.  I knew a guy at GE years ago who used it to dampen the sound of
his Sun-3/60 or similar workstation.  We used to refer to Suns as "jet
engines".  The Sonex worked great.  If you can afford it I highly recommend
it.
