Use a rotohammer to drill for Molly Parabolts or similar anchor. These
give you a stud sticking out. They get tighter the harder you pull on
them, and you drill a hole the same diameter as the anchor. A
quarter-inch diameter Parabolt will fail at about 2000 lb tension. They
come in diameters all the way to 1", and you can choose a length that is
compatible with the flange thickness on your compressor. Any rental yard
will have an electric rotohammer for about $25 per day (maybe less for
an hourly or half-day rate) and they probably stock the anchors.
