Hi NOBBC Friends,

Here again are the details for tomorrow's (Saturday Feb 12) ride. I thought
I sent them out at the start of this week, but it looks like the message may
have evaporated in cyberspace.

This is going to be a great ride. We have a perfect weather forecast, dry,
and with a high of 70 degrees. Please bring your friends and significant
others. This is a chance to show them how much fun we have with our
eccentrically glorious cars!

We'll gather at my house at 10 am for fresh-baked croissants, just out of
the oven, and excellent coffee. We'll park in a circle, as before. 1490 Mark
West Springs Rd, Santa Rosa, 95404. 2.5 miles East of the River Rd/Mark West
Springs Rd exit off 101. In case you get lost, my cell number is 707 486
9961.

We'll start the ride around 10:30 or so. I'll hand out some route maps so
several drivers have them. We'll head East on Mark West Springs to Franz
Valley Rd, and wind up at Hanna Winery in the Alexander Valley (
http://www.hannawinery.com). I have a friend who works there, and they'll
reduce or waive their usual tasting fee. The wines are fantastic, and the
tasting room has gorgeous views.

>From there we'll go to Stryker Sonoma winery, via a slight detour on Red
Winery Road (www.strykersonoma.com). Then we'll pick up sandwiches at a deli
(or you can bring your own), and head over to Dry Creek appellation. We'll
eat at Sbragia vineyard, which has a panoramic view of the Dry Creek Valley
(www.sbragia.com).

When you arrive, please park your car facing into the circle. Park as close
as possible to your neighbor, space is usually very tight. First time
visitors are welcome. If you have room in your car, invite one, and make a
new friend!

We'll drive in 2 groups, the first driving fast, the second driving slow.
With a slow group, we avoid terrifying novice guests who may fail to
understand that body panels rattling loudly, engines shaking, and bits
sometimes falling off, is all just part of the charm of British cars. If
possible, we'll keep each of the 2 groups together by pulling over at major
intersections, to wait for stragglers. I'd be grateful if someone could lead
each group, and someone else could take pictures and post them on Picasa
later, so we can all share.

After lunch at Sbragia, we'll make our ways home at our own pace, having
shared good wine, great company, and fun car lore!

See you tomorrow,
--
Dawson
